The Criminalization of Poverty and Its Impact on Justice

ABSTRACT
The most controversial yet embedded deep down the earth is the Criminalizing of poverty. The issue has been raised many times but often ignored due to insensitivity and sympathy from the public. Despite that reformers are determined to bring this policy into force for the betterment of India. Poverty, a very well-known word to all of us but none of us have an idea what is going on behind this word. This century is full of surprises as new inventions are being created, crimes which we could have never hear of are emerging like cybercrimes. Laws have been framed for them but there is a need of policy for the perpetrators who are committing the crime, a need to look into the background of these human beings so that we can prevent it from the foundation itself. Therefore, this research paper will delve into the historical context, reasoning of implementation, its impact on justice system, recommendations.
