USER AGREEMENT & DATA PROTECTION POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

This User Agreement and Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) governs the collection, use, storage, and processing of personal data by Lex Lumen Research Journal (“Journal”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Policy applies to all authors, students, researchers, reviewers, subscribers, interns, event participants, and visitors (collectively referred to as “Users”) who access, engage with, or submit information to the Journal through any mode, including but not limited to websites, online forms, emails, registrations, submissions, or events.

By accessing the Journal or by filling out any form, submission, registration, or data entry related to Lex Lumen Research Journal, the User expressly agrees to the terms of this Policy.

3. PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION AND USE

All data provided by Users shall be collected and used lawfully and fairly for legitimate Journal-related purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Processing manuscript submissions and publications

  • Editorial review, peer review, and academic correspondence

  • Circulating Journal issues, newsletters, updates, and announcements

  • Informing Users about webinars, conferences, workshops, internships, competitions, and other events associated with the Journal

  • Academic networking and scholarly engagement

  • Maintaining internal records and compliance requirements

  • Improving the quality, accessibility, and functioning of the Journal

4. CONSENT AND ACCEPTANCE

By voluntarily submitting any personal or academic information to Lex Lumen Research Journal, including through:

  • Submission forms

  • Registration forms

  • Event participation forms

  • Internship or author onboarding forms

  • Any digital or physical data entry

The User provides free, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent for the collection, processing, storage, and use of such data for Journal-related purposes.

Submission of data shall be deemed as explicit acceptance of this Policy.

5. DATA SHARING & DISCLOSURE

The Journal does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

However, data may be shared:

  • With editorial board members, reviewers, or technical partners strictly for Journal operations

  • When required by law, regulation, or legal process

Double-Blind Peer Review and Anonymity

All manuscripts and academic submissions are subject to the Double-Blind Peer Review Policy of Lex Lumen Research Journal. Under this policy:

  • Author identities and personal details are anonymised before being shared with reviewers

  • Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors

  • Personal and contact information collected during submission is used only for editorial and administrative purposes and is not accessible to reviewers

Accordingly, while personal data is collected at the time of submission, such data remains confidential, anonymised, and segregated during the peer review process to ensure fairness, academic integrity, and impartial evaluation.

All such sharing shall be limited, necessary, and purpose-specific.

Lex Lumen Research Journal adopts reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard User data against:

  • Loss, misuse, or alteration

  • Accidental disclosure

Users have the right to:

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Lex Lumen Research Journal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Use or inability to use the Journal

  • Data transmission over external networks

  • Events beyond reasonable control

10. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

This Policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, and courts having jurisdiction shall have exclusive authority over any disputes arising hereunder.
